Uses:

• Unicorn horn can be ground into dust and then mixed into potions and concoctions which are purported to be magical and supposedly cure any illness.
• Unicorn horns make beautiful musical instruments.
• Hair from a unicorn's tail and mane can be used to fashion the strings of instruments and bows that are sturdier and more durable than usual.

Description:

The unicorn is a rare and powerful white horse-like creature that lives alone in forest areas or with a herd numbering between ten and fifteen on open meadow. The single horn adorning the forehead and the white mane and tail are the only things that set the unicorn apart from normal white horses physically, though some poets have described them as ethereally beautiful. The unicorn also has the ability to heal most of the injuries it sustains.

Legend suggests that it is the unicorn's horn that allows the creature to heal this way and that the horn has magical properties so ground unicorn horn appears in many potions and is sold for a high price on the black market. However, the accuracy of these tales is unproven and hunting unicorn is against the law.

Abilities:

Unicorns can heal most of the injuries they sustain. However, they cannot grow horns back.
