Description:

Legend has it that the first Harpy was a woman Dananka greatly admired. When he caught her with another man, he punished her by making her ugly so that she and her descendents would be cursed to serve he alone.

Whether the legend is true or not, Harpies have a ferocious beauty about them made all the more terrifying by the fact they are not quite human. With great feathered wings in the place of arms, and giant talons in the place of legs, they stalk Dananka's palace as his guardians and servants.

Though harpies are mostly humanoid, they are a repressed race trained from birth only to do Danae's bidding. Like any well-trained guard dog, their main concern is the safety of their god and his possessions, viewing everyone as a potential threat. They will not attack, however, unless those potential threats become definite ones.

Abilities:

Besides the frightening talons and ability to fly, Harpies are trained soldiers well-equipped with bronze armour, leather clothing and sharp, pointy sticks.

Weaknesses:

Their language is a simple, bastardized version of pidgin Acanthan spoken with a lot of guttural growls mixed in so they can be difficult to understand.
