Description:

Griffins are creatures with the head, beak and wings of an eagle but the body of a lion and a long sinewy tail like that of a serpent. It is said that you cannot speak lies in the presence of a griffin because their hearts are so pure but there has yet to be scientific proof. Growing as tall as a human, griffin are very dangerous creatures and can cause a lot of damage. They protect their nests and guard their young with ferocious determination, making their homes from thick branches and their own feathers in hard-to-reach places on rocky mountain plateaus. They mate only once in their entire life, producing only one egg, so it's not advisable to get between a parent and their chick.

Abilities:

The griffin has no inherent abilities but is a fierce creature with sharp talons, a piercing beak and a heavily muscled body capable of crushing ribs in a single blow.
