The Greater Companion Bond strengthens the bond between a Wanderer and her companion while similarly enhancing the elemental abilities bestowed it.

Notes:

Companions may be able to perform certain tasks not normally within the scope of their ability due to their increased intelligence. However, remember that they're still physically limited by their anatomy — you'll not find a cat unscrewing a bottle cap, for instance, whereas a monkey with opposable thumbs probably could.

Level 2

Companion acts as a small Source.
Companion's self-awareness and intelligence is slightly more increased from the norm.
Wanderer and Companion share a moderate empathic link with a range of 100 feet.
Wanderer and Companion share a weak empathic link with a range of 500 feet.
Companion increases damage/effects of Elemental Manipulation by 20%.

Level 3

Companion acts as a medium Source of a Wanderer's element.
Companion is self-aware and intelligent enough to understand simple commands and perform simple tasks.
Wanderer and Companion share a strong empathic link with a range of 100 feet.
Wanderer and Companion share a moderate empathic link with a range of 500 feet.
Wanderer and Companion share a weak empathic link with a range of 1 mile.
Companion increases damage/effects of Elemental Manipulation by 40%.

Level 4

Companion acts as a medium Source of a Wanderer's element.
Companion is self-aware and intelligent enough to understand slightly more complex commands perform simple tasks.
Wanderer and Companion share a strong empathic link with a range of 500 feet.
Wanderer and Companion share a moderate empathic link with a range of 1 mile.
Wanderer and Companion share a weak empathic link with a range of 1½ miles.
Companion increases damage/effects of Elemental Manipulation by 60%.

Level 5

Companion acts as a large Source of a Wanderer's element.
Companion is self-aware and intelligent enough to understand complex commands and perform a series of simple tasks.
Wanderer and Companion share a strong empathic link with a range of 1 mile.
Wanderer and Companion share a moderate empathic link with a range of 1½ miles.
Wanderer and Companion share a weak empathic link with a range of 2 miles.
Companion increases damage/effects of Elemental Manipulation by 80%.

¹ "…for every level of…" means that if you want to upgrade a certain skill, then you must already have the pre-requisite skill at the matching level, or make sure to upgrade them at the same time. Example: I want to upgrade my Dracovari's Combat skill to Level 2, so I need to upgrade Hoard to the matching level (2) or higher first. ⇑

² Building on the Wanderer's bond with her companion, the empathic link begins to truly tie them together, allowing them to be aware of each others' emotional state at all times — within the limits of the bond, of course. ⇑
