Form

This is the list of animal forms Therians can morph into.

Available to:

Notes:

  • Choose 1 form per level, up to a total of 5.
  • Some animals that would technically be in the huge category may be included in the large category instead if they only go over by a few inches (like tigers). This applies in reverse to the tiny category, but not the others. However, Therians cannot assume forms that are too far out of their usual proportions — so, for instance, they can't become a hydra or a money spider.
  • Remember to include a description in your application for every form you gain.
  • You're encouraged to use animals from the Bestiary.
  • Therians are no longer bound to a specific genus, so you can pick and choose animal forms as you like. However, they can only take the form of an animal that they have personally observed in action (though they can learn a form from a mentor as long as the mentor's form is itself accurate).

Level 1

  • Can choose a small domesticated1 or non-predatory2 form.

Level 2

  • Can choose a small to medium domesticated or non-predatory form, or;
  • Can choose a small predatory3 form.

Level 3

  • Can choose a small to large domesticated or non-predatory form, or;
  • Can choose a small to medium predatory form.

Level 4

  • Can choose a small to large domesticated or non-predatory form, or;
  • Can choose a small to large predatory form.

Level 5

  • Can choose a small to large domesticated or non-predatory form, or;
  • Can choose a small to large predatory form.

1 By "domesticated", we don't just mean any animal that has been tamed. We mean a species that has over the course of generations been completely domesticated (like dogs and cats). These are common forms for Therians in urban areas, since they're easy to study.

2 "Non-predatory" means any animal, domesticated or wild, that does not ordinarily hunt other animals. These are common forms for younger or less adventurous Therians in rural areas, since they're easier to study than predators.

3 "Predators" are animals that prey on other animals. They can be difficult to study and are rarer than other forms, but by their very nature make great fighters.
