Empathy

Sense and influence the emotions of others.

Notes:

  • You will lose 30% of your success rate for every level your opponent has in Mental Shield (eg. if you have Empathy 2 and they have Mental Shield at level 4, you will lose 60% of your success rate.
  • You will lose 20% of your success rate for every extra person you attempt to influence (eg. if you are attempting to influence 2 people, you will lose 20% of your success rate, but if you're trying to influence 5 people, you will lose 80% of your success rate).

Level 1

  • Have a 50% chance of sensing powerful emotions from random people within a 10-foot radius.
  • Are easily overwhelmed by these emotions.
  • Cannot tell who the emotions belong to.

Level 2

  • Have a 70% chance of deliberately sensing powerful emotions from anyone within a 10-foot radius.
  • Have a 50% chance of deliberately sensing powerful emotions from anyone with a 20-foot radius.
  • Are easily overwhelmed by these emotions.
  • Can sense the general direction from which the emotions are originating.

Level 3

  • Have a 90% chance of deliberately sensing powerful emotions from anyone within a 10-foot radius.
  • Have a 70% chance of deliberately sensing powerful emotions from anyone with a 20-foot radius.
  • Have a 50% chance of deliberately sensing strong emotions from anyone within a 50-foot radius.
  • Are easily overwhelmed by these emotions.
  • Are influenced but not overwhelmed by these emotions — requires Mental Shield 2
  • Can sense specifically from whom the emotions are originating unless they're part of a crowd.
  • Have a 60% chance of exaggerating or reducing mild emotions.
  • Have a 40% chance of changing mild emotions from one to another.
  • Have a 30% chance of creating mild emotions.

Level 4

  • Have a 100% chance of deliberately sensing powerful emotions from anyone within a 10-foot radius.
  • Have a 90% chance of deliberately sensing powerful emotions from anyone with a 20-foot radius.
  • Have a 70% chance of deliberately sensing strong emotions from anyone within a 50-foot radius.
  • Have an 50% chance of deliberately sensing emotions from anyone within a 100-foot radius.
  • Are easily overwhelmed by these emotions.
  • Are influenced but not overwhelmed by these emotions — requires Mental Shield 2
  • Are only mildly influenced by these emotions — requires Mental Shield 3
  • Can sense specifically from whom the emotions are originating even if they're part of a crowd.

1 "…for every level of…" means that if you want to upgrade a certain skill, then you must already have the pre-requisite skill at the matching level, or make sure to upgrade them at the same time. Example: I want to upgrade my Dracovari's Combat skill to Level 2, so I need to upgrade Hoard to the matching level (2) or higher first.
