Chandric Forest

Chandric Forest is the dark and twisted sibling of the Fae and spreads northward for another 1400 miles (2253 km). It's full of outlaws and other unpleasant folk as well as far more dangerous creatures (including the monoceros, spiny cat and stymphalian).

The boundary between the Fae and Chandric forests is immediately obvious, as the latter is much darker despite the trees being sparser (perhaps because the majority of ravenwood trees are found here), and there's very little colour.

In the densest part of the Chandric Forest is a closely guarded portal located about a week and a half's walk north from the Fae Tree. This portal leads to the hidden realm of Acantha, but it is heavily guarded on both sides and few who stumble across it survive to tell of its existence.
