The Caspian Theatre

The Caspian Theatre was originally owned by Tryst & Keslar, but when Mr. Keslar chose to move to Nirim City, Mr. Tryst purchased the remaining half of the building. After the theatre became entirely Landon's, he expanded it to suit the needs of his vampires. Even though the Caspian Theatre is now the Ruby Claw's HQ, most of Espur is ignorant of the fact. It's not really a secret. Members of the Ruby Claw are just quiet about the fact.

The theatre sits at the outskirts of Espur overlooking the sea. A small dirt path starts halfway uphill and leads visitors to the theatre. Vines and foliage climb the sides of the building, giving it an earthy look. The theatre is cylinder shaped and three floors high. However, the first floor is extra tall. Large, light-blue shevrocks hang either side of the arched entrance. These crystals shine brightly in the night.

Entrance Hall

The entrance hall is carpeted in sea-blue, and each of its tall windows are framed by blue velvet curtains. These curtains are drawn back during the daytime but closed at night.

The hall is furnished with circles of leather sofas for visitors to rest upon. The area has been richly decorated with paintings, flora, and pieces of sculpture. Many light-blue crystals have been laid into the ceiling to provide lighting for the room. At the far left is a bar where people may order light snacks, a sip of wine, or even a glass of blood before the show. There are two doors behind the bar. The left one leads to a small kitchen, and the right door, labeled "Cast Members Only", leads to a narrow set of stairs. These stairs connect directly to the third floor, and it is only accessible to the Ruby Claw and Caspian's crew.

The Theatre

Two marble griffins flank the entrance to the actual theatre. Only ticket-wielders are allowed beyond this point. There are 600 seats within the theatre (450 on the first floor, 150 at balcony level). The ceiling and walkways are covered with shevrocks that shine a pale light-blue, and these lights become very dim during the show.

There are at least three shows per season, with one being Caspian's own and the others as the local symphony and choir. Landon allows people to rent the theatre-space, and occasionally invites outside troups to perform as well. Shows play on every night of the week except for Mondays and Tuesdays.

The Ruby Claw

Ruby Claw members may access this area via a staircase in the kitchen on the first floor. There are two bartenders at the bar, so one usually seconds as the 'bouncer' for the third floor entrance. This lounge is open only at night and houses a separate bar. It is similarly furnished as the first floor, but includes a recreation area. Though it was designated for the Ruby Claw, members of the Caspian theatre also mingle freely here.

There are seven rooms in the third floor, with the first one being the Ruby Claw lounge. The second largest room has been reserved for conferencing, though it also serves as a rendezvous area. The other five rooms belong as part of Landon's private suite.
