Brennigan's Island

Brennigan's Island was named after a famous pirate, Captain Alaric Brennigan, who was first to settle the nigh-unreachable island.

Surrounded by jagged rocks on all sides, the only route in or out is through the tiny Fang Cove in shallow, treacherous waters.

Away from the major shipping and fishing lanes of the Ao Sea, and too dangerous for most ships to traverse, Brennigan's is the perfect hide-out for pirates willing to take the risk. And Captain Brennigan was a man who loved to take risks.

Some decades after Brennigan's was first settled, the island now houses some hundred pirates and their families in a rowdy village built on the shores of Hook-Eye Lagoon near Fang Cove.

Though there are plenty of rumours that this is the base for much of the pirate activity in the Ao Sea, few of the military and law ships in the region dare make the attempt to even get close, and those who have usually wind up ship-wrecked.
