Alexandrian Coliseum Original image from VROMA. Alexandria's coliseum is a spectacular structure located near the river-front in the north-eastern quadrant of New Alexandria, just south of the city wall. The circle of white stone and gilded facades towers over most other buildings in Alexandria and it can be seen from almost anywhere in the city, making it a major draw for tourists. But it's the 40-foot gold statues of Alexandrian and Elysian heroes, built into the circle of stone, that makes the coliseum's profile truly recognisable all across the shire, and which set it apart from the Espureum. Hunters and warriors from far and wide come to participate in Alexshire's games and annual tournaments which are held in the coliseum, testing their mettle against fellow fighters as well as various monsters. Other events are held here too, sporting and otherwise, from pegasus races to local theatre productions and travelling troupe shows. Page last modified on June 20, 2011, at 08:09 AM |
