Description: Nathaniel is stern, reserved and stubborn. He is very serious and can often be seen with a frown, but when he joins in laughter he genuinely means it. He is often very sardonic and biting to his apprentice, an Apalos Anyeli, but he can plaster on a smile when a customer arrives. Although he is faulted in these ways, he is very generous and helpful. He strives to be of help to the people, which has spurred him on to join and be a renowned member of the Viridis sept. Nate is very different from his family, who have chosen to be part of the Rutilus sept or are thieves and cheats. He has very little contact with his family and lives alone, but occasionally he sends money to his mother, who he believes to be the only decent relative he has. He is aware of how sharp he can be, and feels guilty for it. When his apprentice is working hard or is an asset to him, he gives her his praise and means it. As a bonded summoner, his befriended dragon is Marina. Despite her deceiving name, she is a Virid Draconi, standing at around four metres high.

Like most 'Vari, he is tall and lean, and is subtly muscled. His eyes are slitted and coloured a moss green to show his sept, and his hair is a summery brown. Sometimes, he forgets to shaves and ends up with a bit of a beard, but as a proper man he is usually cleanshaven. His features are sharp and angular, and his eyes are slightly piercing.
