Description: Fay is a tall and slender woman in her middle age, descended from a long line of native humans and taking great pride in her own family being marginally connected to the descendents of Danyel, the first of Xanth's priests. She grew up on religious stories, especially those revolving around Xanth's arrival and the Creation of Elysia, and the part (real or exaggerated) her ancestors had to play in both.

Yet her devotion has an ulterior motive. She appears somewhat cold about the whole religious thing, making decisions based more on what will grant the Priesthood greater glory than on mending broken fences with Xanth. It's unclear if she even believes in Xanth's existence in the first place, but all those stories of her ancestors as key participants in the evolution of the realms has become the foundation for astonishing arrogance. She runs the Priesthood more like a profiteering business than what ultimately amounts to a small-time cult, and seems to put more stock in appearances — such as the recently re-designed uniforms of her priests — than in the integrity for which the Voice of Xanth was once known.
