All About CategoriesCategories (aka tags) are incredibly useful for organising our wiki without us overusing the groups. For instance, in the NPCs group, we have There is a page in the documentation that explains how to use categories, but it's quite confusing for first-time wiki users, so here's (hopefully) the long and short of it.
For any page you create in any wikigroup, you should add tags at the bottom of the page to aid with referencing and linking. For instance, if I create a profile for a NPC called Vincent Carmichael, I'd do so in the NPCs group because that's where character profiles go. However, I would also add tags at the bottom of the profile that would make it easier for me to find his page later and to cross-reference him from within other groups and categories. Since Vincent Carmichael is a thief, I'd add the << Basic Editing | Submissions | Documentation Index >> Creating CategoriesYou aren't just limited to the premade categories, you can easily add new ones just by putting the tag (with proper capitalisation) in a Category markup, like Please try to make tags in the plural where possible (eg. Certain words are grammatically exempt from this requirement. For instance, a Customising TagsYou can also customise existing tags by adding a prefix or suffix. For instance, the Of course, this customisation doesn't just apply to families. You can customise any category that has become unwieldy by itself or that you feel needs a subsection. Think carefully if a new tag is necessary before you create one. Sometimes they're just not needed.
